“Reporting from the Front” or “Concrete Living Ideas,” is the theme
“Reporting from the Front” or “Concrete Living Ideas,” is the theme of the 15th Biennale of Architecture. Directed by superstar Alejandro Aravena, and hosted in the Central Pavilion of the Arsenale, the show displays 88 of the most interesting works in international architecture on this theme, designed by architects hailing from 37 countries (50 of whom are exhibited for the first time ever in Venice). An integral part of the exhibition are 62 national works on show in the halls at the Giardini, Arsenale and historic center of Venice. 5 countries exhibiting for the first time: Philippines, Kazakhstan, Nigeria, Seychelles and Yemen.
